The Bank Al-Maghrib and the Moroccan Capital Market Authority announced the launch of the institutional website of the Futures Market Coordination Authority (ICMAT).
The launch of this website coincides with the launch of the futures market for financial instruments in Morocco, where, on Monday, April 6, the first listing of a fixed-term futures contract on the MASI 20 index took place, under the name "Future MASI 20". The launch of this website is part of a strategy to support futures market members and is designed as a central reference platform aimed at providing comprehensive, organized, and easily accessible information to all stakeholders in the futures market, as well as all those interested in it. The Futures Market Coordination Authority, established under Law 12-42 relating to the futures market for financial instruments, is the entity responsible for coordinating the work of Bank Al-Maghrib and the Moroccan Capital Market Authority in the field of joint supervision of the futures market. This portal can be accessed via the link: www.icmat.ma, where it provides a comprehensive view of the futures market system through four main axes: organization of the Futures Market Coordination Authority: tasks, organizational structure, and how the authority works, regulatory framework: a set of legislative and regulatory texts framing the futures market, market system: detailed information about market companies and professionals qualified to work in the futures market, resource center: a digital library that includes publications, press releases, practical guides, forms, and answers to the most frequently asked questions. Through this new digital channel, the Futures Market Coordination Authority affirms its commitment to supporting the modernization of the capital market and supporting its various actors.
