On Tuesday, the Royal Gendarmerie elements in the city of Oulad Teima managed to put an end to the activity of one of the suspects involved in drug trafficking, within the framework of ongoing security operations to combat this phenomenon.
The person in question, from the Oulad Brahel area, north of the city of Taroudant, was arrested at the level of the municipality of Ahl Al-Raml, south, in the act, as he was promoting a quantity of drugs. The search resulted in the seizure of narcotic substances that were prepared for distribution, which were placed under the direction of the ongoing investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution. According to the available data, the detainee has a criminal record, which suggests his association with similar activities earlier. The person in question has been subjected to a custodial care measure, in order to deepen the research and reveal the remaining possible extensions of this activity, and to identify potential partners. This operation comes within the intensive security campaigns carried out by the Royal Gendarmerie services in various regions of the province, in the context of efforts aimed at combating drug trafficking and enhancing the sense of security among citizens.
