In a new step reflecting the accelerating pace of development projects in the city of Fez, the Wali of the Fez-Meknes region, the governor of the Fez prefecture, Khalid Ait Taleb, supervised the official launch of the works to develop Marinids Street, one of the most prominent vital road axes in the scientific capital.
This project comes within the context of a comprehensive program aimed at rehabilitating the urban infrastructure, which includes improving road quality, modernizing the public lighting system, and redeveloping sidewalks and adjacent spaces, which contributes to enhancing the city's attractiveness and facilitating traffic flow, especially at the level of axes that are experiencing increasing traffic pressure. Marinids Street represents a key connection point between a number of vital neighborhoods, which makes its rehabilitation a qualitative addition to the local road network, and an important pillar for improving the smoothness of movement within the city. In a related context, the Wali of the region continues the approach of proximity through regular field visits, where he recently conducted an inspection tour of one of the popular neighborhoods in Dahr Lakhmis, as an indication of the adoption of a field approach based on direct monitoring of the projects and identifying the needs of the population, instead of limiting the administrative management from within the offices. This dynamic is followed by the local public opinion, which sees in it an indication of seriousness in implementing development projects, especially in light of the role played by the Fez Development Company, which has become a model in implementing urban rehabilitation projects, thanks to its accumulated experience and efficiency in managing major projects. These projects fall within a broader vision aimed at upgrading the quality of life and improving the urban landscape in the city of Fez, with a view to strengthening its position as an urban and development hub at the level of the Fez-Meknes region.
