Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Spain of launching a hostile diplomatic campaign against Israel, against the backdrop of Madrid's decision to prevent it from participating in the work of a center led by the United States, established to support stability in Gaza after the war.
Netanyahu said in a video statement that Spain "has repeatedly chosen to stand against Israel," adding that those who attack the State of Israel instead of confronting what he described as terrorist regimes "will not be partners in shaping the future of the region." He also stressed that "this hypocrisy and hostility cannot be tolerated," and affirmed that he will not allow any country to wage a "diplomatic war" against Israel without bearing the consequences.
