The Wilaya of Blida in Algeria was shaken on Monday by two suicide operations carried out by two people using explosive devices, in the vicinity of sensitive facilities, including a security headquarters in the city center.
According to the Al-Araby Al-Jadeed website, the first explosion targeted the vicinity of the security directorate, followed by a second explosion near a food industries company, which led to a state of maximum alert among the security services. Immediately after the incident, the security and civil protection services intervened urgently to secure the place, and opened an immediate investigation to determine the circumstances of the two incidents and uncover the real motives behind them, at a time when an accurate tally of the losses has not yet been announced. These developments come at a sensitive time, coinciding with the official visit of Pope Leo XIV to Algeria, which adds special security and political dimensions to the incident, and raises questions about the timing backgrounds.
