The Vocational Training and Employment Promotion Office announced the detection of a security incident related to the leakage of personal data via the "MyWay" guidance platform, on April 12, 2026, confirming that the incident did not affect its other information systems.
The office explained, in an explanatory statement, that the leaked data was circulated via the "Dark Web" in a CSV file format with a size of approximately 19 megabytes, and includes the data of about 100,000 young people nationwide, most of whom are in the "interested" category in guidance services, in addition to "potential trainees" who have previously created accounts on the platform. This data includes personal information entered by the users themselves, such as name, phone number, national identification number, and email address, without including any official documents or supporting documents, noting that a portion of this data may be inaccurate or incomplete. The same source confirmed that the scope of the leak remained limited to the basic functions of the platform, related to creating accounts and career aptitude tests, without extending to the rest of the components of the guidance system, such as the training path or trainee results. According to preliminary data, the incident is likely to be the result of the fraudulent use of an identified account that may have been hacked, without recording any indications of a direct breach of the platform's information system. The office indicated that the incident was contained and an in-depth investigation was launched under the supervision of the Information Systems Directorate teams, in coordination with the competent authorities and external experts, in order to accurately determine the source of the leak and assess its repercussions. This incident also comes within the context of previous efforts launched by the office since February 2026 to enhance cybersecurity, which included accelerating protection procedures and adopting advanced solutions to prevent data leakage. The Vocational Training and Employment Promotion Office emphasized its commitment to continue strengthening the information security system and ensuring the protection of the personal data of various users.
