From under the dome of the Parliament in Rabat, during the presentation of the government's report today, Wednesday, the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, confirmed that some choices adopted by the government may seem harsh at the moment, but in essence, they represent the "necessary treatment" to ensure the future of the coming generations, stressing that the real responsibility requires putting the public interest above all else.
Akhannouch explained, during the joint session between the House of Representatives and the House of Councilors held at his initiative, that the government consciously chose not to be preoccupied with side responses or marginal debates, considering that the time for development cannot be wasted in bidding, while at the same time confirming that the pressures, campaigns, and insults were dealt with in a disciplined spirit, based on the conviction that the strength of the official lies in self-control during crises.
The Head of Government added, in a speech he described as sincere from the heart, that the advancement of morals in political practice constitutes a fundamental value that must be consolidated, and that "work is what speaks," while the results remain the true and decisive standard for evaluation, pointing out that the path of responsibility has never been easy or paved with roses, but a path full of challenges and difficult exams that required patience, steadfastness, and sacrifice.
He concluded by emphasizing that the responsibility of heading the government represents a daily test of conscience and a sense of responsibility, saying that it means that the official wakes up every morning carrying the trust of His Majesty the King and the aspirations of millions of Moroccans, aware that some decisions, no matter how difficult, remain necessary to serve the public good.
