HIBAPRESS – W.M.C.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that Iran has agreed to relinquish its enriched uranium, which is one of the key demands of the United States in order to reach an agreement with Tehran to end the war.
The American president said during a conversation with the press at the White House: "They have agreed to hand over the nuclear dust." The American executive head considered that "there are very good opportunities" for the United States and Iran to reach an agreement. In his speech about the ten-day ceasefire, announced earlier today, between Lebanon and Israel, Donald Trump pointed out that this agreement will include "Hezbollah," expressing his confidence that "the pro-Iranian movement will respect this truce." After the American president announced that Israel and Iran had agreed on a ceasefire, he confirmed that he would invite the leaders of the two countries to conduct further talks at the White House. The White House spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, stated on Wednesday that the United States is "optimistic" about reaching an agreement with Iran that would end the war. Trump announced on Tuesday the possibility of a second round of negotiations with Iran in Pakistan, "within the next two days." Within the framework of these negotiations, the American proposal focuses on the Iranian enriched uranium file, ballistic missiles, the easing of sanctions, and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, while the Iranian side demands, in particular, control of the strait with imposing fees on ships crossing it, ending military operations in the entire region, and lifting sanctions.
