Yassine Oukacha, head of the RNI parliamentary group in the House of Representatives, affirmed that Aziz Akhannouch, since assuming the presidency of the National Rally of Independents party in late 2016, led the project of rebuilding the party on strong institutional and organizational foundations, capable of producing qualified elites and bearing responsibility.
He considered that this approach is in line with the high royal vision, which calls for qualifying political parties and improving their performance. Oukacha explained that the dynamic launched by the party since 2017, based on encouraging young competencies, began to bear fruit, citing the arrival of a number of new faces to positions of responsibility, including Mustapha Baitas in the government, and Lahcen Essaidi in the state secretariat, and Mohamed Chouki in leading positions within the party. He considered that one of the most prominent gains of the Liberals during the last decade is the consolidation of the principle of rotation of responsibility, while maintaining the cohesion of the organization and the strength of its institutions. In a related context, the speaker, during his guest appearance on the program "Without Wooden Language" on "Med Radio", pointed out that the 2021 elections contributed to enhancing the voter's awareness of the nature of the contractual relationship that binds him to his representatives, stressing that the field performance of the elected officials has become a decisive criterion in their evaluation. On the local level, Oukacha highlighted that the Maline Al-Wad community, which he heads, is moving towards achieving full coverage with potable water by the end of this year, in addition to expanding the electricity grid, strengthening school transportation services, and qualifying primary educational institutions. He also called on the elected officials to redouble their efforts to achieve effective development within their communities, by relying on local priorities and openness to competencies, in line with the royal directives in this field. In contrast, he criticized what he described as negative generalization attempts that attach the accusation of corruption to all elected officials, considering that this image does not reflect reality, as the percentage of those involved in cases of this type remains limited and does not exceed 1%.
