Elements of the Royal Gendarmerie at the Tamsint territorial center, belonging to the Al Hoceima region, managed to stop a light vehicle driver who was coming from the Ketama region, after suspicions about his movements at a checkpoint.
The inspection resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of the drug kif and the substance "Taba", with a total weight of approximately 140 kilograms, which was carefully hidden inside the vehicle, in an attempt to deceive and avoid security surveillance. According to the available data, the suspect has been placed under custody, by order of the competent Public Prosecution, in order to deepen the investigation and uncover the remaining potential extensions of this criminal activity, as well as identify the other alleged accomplices. This operation falls within the framework of the continuous efforts made by the Royal Gendarmerie services to combat the illegal trafficking of drugs, and to tighten control on the road axes in the region.
