An infant died and approximately 50 people were injured in a tourist bus accident coming from Algeria today, Friday, according to local sources.

Private radio "Mosaique" reported, quoting the governor of the city of "Majaz al-Bab," which belongs to the state of Siliana, northwest of Tunisia, that the accident occurred this morning on the highway linking the cities of Beja and Tunis. The bus was coming from Algeria heading towards the tourist city of Sousse on the eastern coast of Tunisia, according to the same source. The governor stated that the accident resulted in the death of an infant and the injury of 50 others, seven of whom were transferred to Beja Hospital and three to hospitals in the capital, while the rest of the injured received first aid in the city of Majaz al-Bab.
