Elements of the judicial police department in Casablanca managed, on the evening of last Friday, May 8th, to arrest a person, 28 years old, suspected of involvement in violence, defamation, and incitement to hatred.
The information vigilance services of the national security had monitored a video clip published on a social media page, whose owner incited hatred in video clips, in addition to directing insults, abuse, and violence towards a citizen from one of the sub-Saharan African countries on the public street in a Casablanca neighborhood. The police in Casablanca opened a judicial investigation that resulted in identifying the victim and obtaining his statements about this case, before technical research and field investigations conducted in light of these video clips led to the identification of the suspect and his arrest. The arrest and search operation also resulted in the discovery of two white weapons, a mask that conceals diagnostic data, in addition to a quantity of hashish and two mobile phones suspected of being used in committing these criminal acts. The suspect has been placed under custody pending the judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, in order to reveal all the circumstances and details of this case, as well as to determine the real backgrounds behind committing these criminal acts.
