Aston Villa entered the history of European football from its widest doors, after being crowned with the Europa League title for the first time in its history, following its wide victory over Freiburg with a clean triple in the final match.
The Besiktas Stadium in the Turkish capital, Istanbul, hosted the final match of the Europa League championship for the 2025-2026 season, which witnessed a clear superiority of the English team from the first minutes. Aston Villa succeeded in settling the match with a result of 3-0, after the Belgian Youri Tielemans, the Argentine Emiliano Buendia, and the Englishman Morgan Rogers took turns scoring goals in the 41st, 45+3, and 58th minutes. The crowning of the English team came after a strong journey in the tournament, to put its name among the list of clubs crowned with the Europa League title, which started with its new name in 2009, succeeding the UEFA Cup championship.
