HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Samir Belfkih, Minister of National Territory Planning, Urbanism, Housing, and City Policy, and the government's official spokesperson, confirmed that the urgent handling of the controversy surrounding Madiha Khiyyir's appointment as Minister Delegate in charge of Vocational Training and Qualification, along with the dissemination of personal judicial and medical data, comes within the framework of the government assuming its responsibility and preparing suitable conditions for the completion of her constitutional installation.
Belfkih explained in a statement that the government dealt with the file based on a political and institutional assessment shared by the components of the government majority, which renewed its commitment to the success of the governmental experience and directing public discourse towards the governmental program and the expectations of citizens, while prioritizing the service of the public interest.
The statement added that the Prime Minister submitted a request to King Mohammed VI to relieve Madiha Khiyyir of her duties, based on the constitutional powers vested in her, particularly Paragraph Four of Article 47 of the Constitution. This request received royal approval, according to a statement from the Royal Court.
The government's official spokesperson stressed that the swift handling of the matter reflects the government's keenness to complete its installation before Parliament, in preparation for launching its program and fulfilling its commitments to citizens, away from the preoccupation with the controversy that accompanied the appointment.
