HIBAPRESS – Salé
The continuous rise in real estate prices in the city of Salé has pushed a number of citizens to search for housing alternatives outside the city's urban area, given the difficulty of acquiring homes at prices commensurate with their financial capabilities, especially for employees and low to middle-income families.
In light of this situation, neighboring areas, including Bouknadel, Sidi Allal El Bahraoui, Tamesna, and Ain Aouda, have become destinations for a number of those wishing to acquire their homes, considering the prices they find more suitable compared to those in the city of Salé.
Many employees and families find themselves with the option of moving to these areas to secure a permanent residence, even if it means enduring the hardship of daily commutes to Salé or Rabat to reach their workplaces or continue their studies.
This choice is not limited to seeking a home at a suitable price, but also reflects the magnitude of the challenges facing families in balancing housing costs with daily living requirements, especially in light of the additional transportation expenses and travel time that may result from being away from major cities.
Between the desire to own a private home and avoiding high financial burdens, the suburbs have become a viable option for a segment of citizens, despite the accompanying challenges related to ease of access to workplaces and educational institutions, and the availability of transportation and basic services.
