The Public Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Zagora has ordered a judicial investigation to determine the circumstances and details of a public transport bus overturning accident that occurred on Tuesday morning in the Tagounite area of Zagora province. The accident resulted in the death of four people and injuries to the rest of the passengers with varying degrees of severity.
According to a statement from the Public Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in Zagora, the accident happened around 6:00 AM when a bus traveling from Marrakech to Mahamid El Ghazlan, carrying 26 passengers, overturned.
The statement clarified that in addition to opening the investigation, the Public Prosecution has ordered monitoring of the health condition of the injured and the taking of necessary measures to facilitate the burial of the deceased.
The Public Prosecutor affirmed that the necessary legal consequences will be determined based on the findings of the investigation once it is concluded.
