HIBAPRESS – Tiznit
Olive oil prices in the city of Tiznit have witnessed a noticeable decline, settling around 50 dirhams per liter in some traditional oil presses, according to observations by "HIBAPRESS." This indicates a shift in prices as the olive pressing process progresses during the current season.
Olive oil prices had started at approximately 60 dirhams per liter at the beginning of the pressing process, before experiencing a gradual decrease to lower levels at a number of oil presses. Consumers are anticipating further declines in the coming weeks. In this context, industry sources expect prices to continue their downward trend in the coming period, given the abundance of production recorded this season, which could reflect on the cost of olive oil and provide consumers with an opportunity to purchase this commodity at lower prices.
