HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
The valley connecting Znac and Akuti, in the Ighil N'Oumghoun region of Tanerir province, witnessed an incident on Friday evening where a car carrying its driver was swept away by flash floods following a rise in water levels due to rainfall.
According to available data, the torrential floods surprised road users in the area, causing the car to be swept into the valley's course, a scene that reflects the danger of traveling through valleys and wadis during periods of weather fluctuations and rising water levels. Fortunately, the incident ended with the driver's survival, with no loss of life recorded. This incident has once again highlighted the risks of venturing into watercourses during floods, even when water levels may appear limited at times. In light of these circumstances, calls are renewed to road users and citizens to exercise caution and avoid crossing valleys and wadis during rainfall or when water is flowing, while adhering to the directives of the competent authorities to ensure everyone's safety.
