HIBAPRESS – Abdelatif Baraka
A new death was recorded at the University Hospital Center Mohammed VI in Agadir on Friday, October 23rd, after a man in his forties lost his life after falling from the third floor of the health institution. This incident brings to the forefront a similar incident that the institution witnessed in recent months.
The incident is of particular importance as it comes after a previous incident where a man in his sixties threw himself from the third floor of the hospital, leading to his death. This accident at the time raised questions about the circumstances of such incidents within health institutions and the monitoring and safety measures taken to protect patients.
The circumstances of the new incident are still in need of clarification, pending what the investigations by the competent authorities will reveal regarding the circumstances and background of the fall. The two incidents also bring back the discussion about the necessity of strengthening prevention and monitoring measures within health facilities, to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and the staff working in the institution.
