HIBAPRESS – Tangier
Local authorities in Tangier launched a field campaign to liberate public property in the Bankiran neighborhood, targeting street vendors and some cafes, restaurants, and commercial shops that were occupying sidewalks, as part of efforts to organize public spaces and ensure pedestrians' right of passage.
The operation took place under the supervision of the head of the Charaf Maghougha urban district, with the participation of local authorities from the Tenth and Tenth bis administrative annexes. It resulted in the seizure of a number of chairs and tables that were placed on the sidewalks.
This step is part of interventions aimed at curbing the unlicensed occupation of public property and improving traffic flow within neighborhoods, while emphasizing the need to respect the legal regulations governing the use of public spaces.
