Spanish Magazine: Morocco emerges as a flagship destination for the automobile company “Stellantis”

A Spanish magazine specializing in the automotive industry, “Iberdós y Electrikos”, reported today Monday that Morocco is emerging as a top destination for Stellantis, an automotive company.

To face the competition, Stellantis has chosen Morocco, a destination “with the best investment capacities”, according to the Spanish specialist magazine.

According to the source, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares confirmed during the announcement of a 300 million euro investment to expand the group’s factory in Kenitra, that Morocco should become “the third engine of Stellantis”.

For the CEO of this multinational company, created in 2021 after the merger of the PSA and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles groups, Morocco is “a country with ideal conditions for investment”.

The Kenitra plant, inaugurated in 2019, is a flagship project for the global automotive giant, part of Stellantis’ vast “Dare Forward 2030” strategy.

The aim is to make Kenitra a “major centre” to meet the specific needs of local and European markets.
