HIBAPRESS – Ahmed Al-Musa'id
As part of the eighteenth session of the International Agricultural Exhibition in Morocco, organized under the slogan "Sustainability of Animal Production and Food Sovereignty" during the period from April 20 to 28, the Oriental region is making a remarkable presence through a distinguished pavilion that combines innovation in design and the adoption of digitalization in presentation methods, reflecting a renewed vision for territorial marketing.
The Oriental region's pavilion is distinguished by a modern architectural design inspired by the natural and cultural specificities of the region, where a modern visual approach has been adopted that highlights the territorial identity through colors and aesthetic elements, in addition to the integration of interactive digital technologies that allow visitors and professionals a rich and innovative experience. This pavilion is the result of the efforts of the Oriental Region Council in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Agriculture, to provide a space that reflects the transformations witnessed by the agricultural sector in the region, through the adoption of modern concepts in presentation and promotion, based on innovation and enhancing the attractiveness of economic and agricultural potentials. The pavilion constitutes an integrated platform for introducing local products and agricultural projects known to the region, as well as highlighting development initiatives aimed at supporting farmers and strengthening production chains, and this participation will enhance the position of the Oriental region as a promising agricultural hub, capable of attracting investments and creating new opportunities for development. The Oriental region is rich in diverse agricultural qualifications, which makes it among the regions with promising potential at the national level, as it is distinguished by the production of citrus fruits, in addition to valuing a number of local products with added value, including "Hawthorn" which has a protected geographical indication, as well as other products that reflect the richness and diversity of agricultural production in the region. The region also has significant livestock wealth, as the sheep and goat herd is estimated at 1.8 million head, in addition to a significant herd of cows, which actively contributes to enhancing food security. The Oriental region represents about 8 percent of the national production of red meat, and it also contributes to the same percentage in the production of honey, which reflects its position within the national agricultural system.
