HIBAPRESS – Ahmed Al-Musaed
The Al-Nasr district of Oujda witnessed, during the early hours of Tuesday, April 28th, a state of panic among the residents, following the aggressive behavior of a young man in his twenties, who caused night disturbances.
According to consistent information from the scene, the person in question screamed hysterically in the alleys of the neighborhood before heading towards a light vehicle that was parked near a house, where he smashed its windows using a large knife. The matter did not stop there, but he threatened the car owner with killing and liquidation, which increased the state of terror among the residents. Upon being informed of the incident, security elements moved to the scene, but the suspect fled, taking advantage of the state of confusion he had left behind, where the security services were able, in a short period, to arrest the person in question, where he was placed under the measures of custodial care at the level of the seventh security district, pending his presentation before the Public Prosecution to the Attorney General, to take what is necessary against him according to the legal procedures in force. This incident brings back to the forefront the problem of drug use and its impact on public security, in light of increasing demands from the residents to intensify security patrols and strengthen preventive interventions, especially during the night periods.
