The management board of Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) announced, late on Sunday-Monday night, its decision to collectively resign during the upcoming ordinary elective general assembly, emphasizing that this step comes out of respect for the club's current responsibilities and obligations.
The club clarified in an official statement that it has been decided to open the membership application for the 2026/2027 sports season during the period from the fifth of May of this year until the fifth of June, in accordance with the legal conditions and procedures in force within the institution. In the context of preparing for the transitional phase, the statement revealed the opening of the submission of candidacy files for the presidency of the club starting from June fifth until the twentieth, in preparation for the convening of the general assembly, which will witness the election of a new administration. The management board concluded its statement by emphasizing that these measures aim to ensure a smooth democratic transition that preserves the club's stability and protects its supreme interests during the coming period.
