The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the blatant Iranian attacks that targeted the United Arab Emirates on Monday evening, stressing that this aggressive act constitutes a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of a member state of the Council and a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, stressed in a statement that targeting the United Arab Emirates is an unacceptable and condemned behavior by all standards, and reflects an escalating approach that disregards the rules of international law and the principles of good neighborliness. He called on the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop these repeated Iranian attacks and put an immediate end to the irresponsible actions that undermine regional and international peace and security, reiterating the Council’s full and firm solidarity with the United Arab Emirates, and standing with it as one in all the measures it takes to protect its security, preserve its sovereignty and maintain the safety of its vital facilities.
