On Friday morning, police in Germany launched a large-scale security operation in the town of Sinzig, following reports of a hostage situation inside a bank branch after an attempted armed robbery.
According to local media, the incident began after an armored vehicle transporting money arrived at the bank, before the situation quickly escalated and required intensive intervention from security forces, amid the belief that several suspects and hostages were inside the building. The area surrounding the bank witnessed a large deployment of special units and a police helicopter hovering over the area, while authorities imposed a wide security cordon, confirming that there was no direct threat to residents outside the scope of the operation.
