Lebanese artist Wael Jassar is preparing to perform a private dinner concert in a high-end restaurant in Casablanca, next Friday night, amid widespread interaction on social media.
The concert witnessed great demand after the announcement of the sold-out of all available places, although the entry price reached about a quarter of a million centimes per person, excluding drinks, which sparked a wave of controversy among followers. Some commentators considered that the matter relates to private artistic evenings targeting a specific segment of the audience, especially considering the popularity of Wael Jassar and the upscale atmosphere that accompanies this type of artistic concerts. In contrast, others criticized the demand for this concert, considering that the entry fee could have been allocated to help needy families to purchase the Eid sacrifice, especially with the approach of the religious occasion and the rise in the cost of living, which deprives a number of families from performing this ritual.
