HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
Ukraine is considering the possibility of easing immigration procedures and attracting foreign workers, including Moroccan professionals and laborers, as part of its efforts to cover the significant shortage in human resources that has worsened in recent years.
According to data published in the Ukrainian press, the authorities in Kyiv are moving towards adopting more flexible measures to encourage foreign workers to join the labor market, especially in sectors suffering from a severe shortage of labor. Estimates indicate that Ukraine needs about two million workers in the coming period in order to support the economic wheel and reactivate a number of vital sectors, in light of the challenges facing the country since the outbreak of the war. Kyiv's interest in Moroccan labor comes in light of Moroccans' previous experiences in a number of international markets, in addition to the reputation that Moroccan competencies have gained in various fields, whether technical or professional.
