The government is moving towards paying the salaries of public sector employees for the month of May before Eid al-Adha, similar to what has been done in previous years.
Identical sources in the Ministry of Economy and Finance stated that the General Treasury of the Kingdom is working to accelerate the pace of procedures related to the salary disbursement process during this month, coinciding with the approach of Eid al-Adha. Regarding the precise date, the same sources clarified that no official date has been announced to date, but they suggested that the payment will be made early, in line with the date of Eid. Identical sources within a number of public service sectors suggested that salaries will be paid by Friday, May 22nd at the latest.
