HIBAPRESS – By Al-Ihyai
There are many individual initiatives led by people who have no connection to politics or to attracting voters, but rather express solidarity and the humanitarian sense that still forms a base and principle within Moroccan society.
After the torrential rains that the Kingdom witnessed this winter and their profound impact on roads and paths in general, a contractor in the city of Wazzan rebuilt a path that was damaged by those rains, especially since it passed through the valley that separates the territory of the Wazzan province from Ksar El Kebir. The concerned residents had been waiting for intervention from the concerned authorities in the Wazzan province to restore life to the area, especially in light of the isolation it witnessed after the rainwater washed away the only path that the residents of the area used for transportation and shopping to the other side. Social media sites were filled in the recent period with condemnation posts demanding the governor of the province, "Al-Mahdi Shalabi," to urgently intervene to repair what could be repaired, especially since the same demand reached the parliament after the unjustified failure of the regional directorate for equipment and the absence of urgent solutions in addressing a number of classified and unclassified roads that had become projects for fatal accidents. The residents of the area praised this commendable initiative undertaken by the contractor, demanding once again the intervention of the relevant authorities to complete the road repair projects at the level of the Wazzan province.
