The Ministry of Interior is working on preparing a comprehensive vision for reforming the taxi sector, based on a precise diagnosis of the legal, organizational, and managerial situation of this sector, within the framework of an approach that aims to modernize the system and improve the quality of services.
Interior Minister Abdelouafi Laftit explained that this reform project is based on benefiting from successful international experiences in the field of urban transport, while taking into account the local specificities of the sector, in a way that ensures a balance between the various professional actors. This vision also includes studying the legal and organizational mechanisms to regulate the use of digital applications in the transport of people, with a view to ensuring fair competition between the various stakeholders, protecting the rights of professionals, and improving the quality of services provided for the benefit of users.
