The General Directorate of Meteorology expects, for today, Friday, local rain showers over the High and Middle Atlas Mountains and their adjacent western foothills.
Light rain or scattered showers are also expected in the Rif Mountains, the northern and central plains of the Atlantic Ocean, and the east of the country, with snowfall over the peaks of the High Atlas.
Strong winds are also expected in the Tangier region, the Rif, the north of the Oriental region, the Atlas, the central coasts and the southern provinces, with local dust storms.
Minimum temperatures will range between 02 and 09 degrees in the Atlas and Rif Mountains, between 15 and 20 degrees in the extreme south of the Saharan provinces of the Kingdom and near the coasts, and between 10 and 14 degrees in the rest of the Kingdom.
As for the temperatures during the day, they will be rising in the southeast of the country, the Souss region and the north of the Saharan provinces, while they will be decreasing in the rest of the regions.
The sea will be slight to rough on the Mediterranean front, slight in the Strait of Gibraltar, slight to rough between Tangier and Larache, and slight to rough between Larache and Boujdour, and it will become locally rough to very rough in the evening between El-Jarf and Tan-Tan, while it will be rough south of Boujdour.
