The village of Lakrouchiyeen, belonging to the Soualem Tarifiya area, witnessed a serious traffic accident today, Friday, after a school transport vehicle collided with a side wall, resulting in various injuries among a number of students who were on board.
Immediately after the accident, elements of the Royal Gendarmerie moved to the scene, where the surroundings of the accident were secured and an investigation was opened to reveal its circumstances and determine the responsibilities associated with it, while the injured were transported to receive first aid and necessary treatments. According to data circulated at the scene, the vehicle in question was in a deteriorated technical condition, with talk of its lack of basic safety conditions, including brakes, in addition to suspicions about its lack of the necessary legal licenses. The accident left a state of concern and dissatisfaction among the residents and the parents of the students, who demanded stricter monitoring of school transport vehicles and ensuring compliance with safety standards to protect the lives of the students.
