Sergeant Major Abu Bakr Al-Othmani, son of the Moroccan community residing in France and hailing from the city of Guercif, succeeded in leading the Tbourida serba under his supervision to the finals of the Hassan II Award for Tbourida arts, which is expected to be organized in Dar es Salam in Rabat, alongside the Mohammed VI Award, which will be held during the activities of the Horse Fair in El Jadida, an achievement that reflects the presence of the children of Moroccans worldwide in preserving this authentic cultural heritage.
The serba's qualification came after strong participations in the qualifying competitions, where it managed to attract attention with the harmony of its knights and the quality of the presentations, which gave it a ticket to the most prominent two stations in the world of Tbourida, namely the Hassan II Award in Dar es Salam and the Mohammed VI Award at the Horse Fair, which are considered among the most important annual appointments for lovers of traditional equestrianism in Morocco.
Abu Bakr Al-Othmani is one of the young faces who have made their way in the world of traditional equestrianism despite his upbringing in France, where he remained connected to the customs and traditions of his native country, adhering to the sport of "Tbourida" which he grew up loving since his childhood, before embarking on the experience of leading serbas in this field.
This qualification reflects the position that the children of the Moroccan community have come to occupy in preserving the national cultural heritage, as a number of young people born in diaspora countries have been able to prove their deep connection to Morocco through their participation in heritage, artistic and sports activities related to Moroccan identity.
Followers also praised the great passion shown by Sergeant Major Abu Bakr Al-Othmani in his career within the world of Tbourida, considering that his success embodies the important role played by Moroccan families residing abroad in consolidating the values of belonging and love of the homeland among their children.
