HIBAPRESS – Shafiq Anouri
Hamdi Jawara, the Malian writer and researcher specializing in African issues, considered that the plan to attack the Republic of Mali by terrorist and separatist organizations was prepared in advance, explaining that Bamako's recognition of the Moroccan Sahara accelerated its implementation.
Jawara said, in a statement to the HIBAPRESS newspaper, that "there are common visions in the current Moroccan-Malian approach," adding that this convergence is what prompted Bamako to recognize the Moroccan Sahara on April 10."
He added that after only 15 days of Mali's new stance, "the attack plan" was accelerated, which, according to him, had already been in place, stressing that Bamako's decision to recognize the Moroccan Sahara "was a reason to put pressure on implementing the operation by those who move the puppets in the background."
He warned that he does not deny the existence of demands raised by some segments of society in the north, south, east and west, but he stressed that demanding them is not "done by declaring war on the central state and attempting to impose partition after all African countries agreed to recognize the borders left by colonialism."
He emphasized that "just as the Egyptians, Algerians, Ivorians and Rwandans do not accept the division of their countries, the same rhythm should not impose partition on Morocco or Mali," considering that this position is "the political equation that everyone should respect.. And I believe that Morocco, Mali and the Sahel in general agree on that equation..".
