Professor Adil Bensouda, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the International University of Rabat, who participated in the first edition of the Moroccan Doctors' Day in Germany, held today, Saturday, in Langenselbold near Frankfurt, confirmed that Moroccan medical competencies residing abroad can play an important role in strengthening bridges of cooperation, training, and transfer of expertise with the Kingdom.
Professor Bensouda praised, in a statement to the Moroccan News Agency, the organization of this meeting, which marked the official launch of the Association of Moroccan Doctors in Germany, as an "important" initiative that would structure the exchange between Moroccan doctors residing abroad and institutional and university actors in Morocco. He explained that this dynamic opens up new horizons in the areas of sharing experiences, university cooperation, and the transfer of competencies, highlighting that the mobility of doctors is also an opportunity for professional and scientific enrichment. The university official considered that these initiatives are called upon to play the role of a "bridge" between Morocco and the host countries, by strengthening academic exchanges, medical research, and continuous training, as well as cooperation between health institutions and universities. He noted that Moroccan doctors residing abroad can contribute to the development of the Moroccan health system through teaching, mentoring, research projects, specialized training, as well as remote initiatives. In this context, Professor Bensouda called for more facilities and support for Moroccan competencies wishing to contribute to projects in the Kingdom, stressing the importance of establishing a permanent dialogue between Moroccan institutions and doctors residing abroad. He also encouraged young doctors to attach great importance to scientific research and academic publishing, which he considered essential elements in the medical career path. This meeting, "Marokkanischer Ärzteverein Deutschland" (MÄD), was organized in the presence of the Moroccan Ambassador to Germany, Mrs. Zohour Alaoui. This meeting brought together about 200 Moroccan doctors and medical students residing in Germany, along with representatives from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, the sector in charge of Moroccans residing abroad, the General Consulate of the Kingdom in Frankfurt, the Sheikh Zayed Foundation, as well as the President of the National Council of the Order of Physicians of Morocco.
