Within the framework of intensive preparations for organizing the Baccalaureate exams for the 2026 session, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports in Al Hoceima hosted, on Friday, May 15, 2026, a communication and coordination meeting dedicated to discussing the various organizational, educational, and logistical aspects related to this important national event.
The meeting was chaired by the Regional Director of the Regional Academy for Education and Training of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region in Al Hoceima, in the presence of the heads of departments at the directorate, the heads of examination centers in the region, and quality control supervisors, in addition to the heads of the correction centers. The meeting was an opportunity to emphasize the importance of comprehensive mobilization and responsible engagement by all stakeholders, in order to ensure that the Baccalaureate exams are conducted in the best conditions, in a way that consolidates the principles of merit and equal opportunities, and ensures the quality of organization and the safety of the various operations related to the exams. The Regional Director, in his speech, stressed the need to continue providing educational support to the candidates, and to strengthen communication and awareness mechanisms about the seriousness of cheating, while ensuring the security of all stages of the exams, whether related to the procedure or correction, in a way that contributes to improving results and achieving integrity and transparency. For his part, the person in charge of the Regional Examination Center presented a detailed presentation through which he reviewed the various measures and procedures adopted to organize this year's exams, within the framework of implementing the provisions of Ministerial Memorandum No. 26/31 related to the organization of certification exams, which carried a set of developments aimed at developing the mechanisms of procedure and correction, and strengthening educational, organizational and communication measures. The presentation also touched on the most prominent developments in the procedures manual for the Baccalaureate exams, especially those related to the continuation of digitizing various procedures, in addition to adopting new mechanisms for electronic monitoring to combat cheating, about which the regional coordinator for combating cheating provided detailed explanations and clarifications. The meeting also witnessed interaction from the heads of examination centers, who presented a set of observations and inquiries related to organizational and technical aspects, which were interacted with and answered by the Regional Director and the head of the Regional Examination Center. It is worth noting that the number of candidates to take the Baccalaureate exams in the Al Hoceima region during the regular session of 2026 reached 7,391 candidates, of whom 3,525 candidates will take the regional exam, and 3,866 candidates will take the national exam.
