HIBAPRESS – Tangier
The statements of a livestock trader sparked a wide reaction within the livestock markets, after he revealed that a number of livestock breeders preferred to transport their herds from inland areas towards major cities in search of better sales opportunities and at a higher price with the approach of Eid al-Adha.
The livestock trader said, in a statement to HIBAPRESS: "The people of Khénifra won't find anything to celebrate with.. we took everything and came to sell it in Tangier," referring to the direction of a number of livestock traders towards cities that experience greater commercial activity and increased demand for sacrifices.

Professionals confirm that major cities are witnessing during this period the influx of significant numbers of livestock traders coming from different regions of the Kingdom, hoping to market their livestock and benefit from the increase in demand that precedes Eid al-Adha.
This move comes in light of the disparity in prices between markets, and the breeders' endeavor to achieve the best possible profit margin, while citizens continue to search for sacrifices that suit their budgets amid the rising costs of Eid this year.
