Mohammed Manfalouti – HIBAPRESS
"Security", or what is called a private security guard, a man belonging to the vulnerable categories where work constraints and wages do not satisfy, despite the grueling and tiring working hours, not to mention the daily constraints with the absence of framing and training, and job security that guarantees them their basic professional rights and the material and logistical capabilities necessary to succeed in their tasks.
The Minister of Employment's opinion and pledges
The Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, "Younes Skouri", interacted with the issue of private security guards and announced that his ministry had begun to address many of the problems associated with this group, in implementation of the high directives of King Mohammed VI, may God protect him.
This came after the end of the social dialogue round between the government and the unions last Friday, where Skouri confirmed that the government had made a unanimous decision and with high royal directives aimed at reducing the working hours of private security guards from 12 to 8 hours.
Skouri highlighted that this group of private security guards, their tasks are framed by Article 197 of the Labor Code, which allows them to work 12 hours, but in return they receive their wages on the basis of only eight hours, and this injustice must be addressed and dealt with with the rest of the social parties, pledging to submit an amendment to the government council regarding the Labor Code to end this situation.
A model of various models of daily suffering at a low price
And as we talk about this group and their daily suffering, we must bring the picture closer, for example, but not limited to, to shed light on a model of various models, we specifically mention here the private security guards stationed in front of the Hassan II Hospital in Settat, and in its various corridors, they are young people who chose the profession to avoid the specter of unemployment and idleness, they guard the security of this vital facility, which is witnessing a great demand for patients and visitors in a continuous manner, which puts them all in a state of confusion due to the influx of dozens of citizens to its main door and inside its corridors and in the emergency department, and here the noise increases and the fever of protests rises against the medical staff who are often helpless in the face of lack of resources, lack of equipment and weak human resources, and here the private security guard finds himself in a problematic situation that requires rational management to avoid collisions with some angry people, and things may sometimes escalate to a physical fight accompanied by insults and insults against these simple people from the security guards, not to mention what their work may cause them of embarrassment and confrontation with citizens, as their mission is not limited to monitoring the hospital from a security point of view only, but rather extends to transporting patients and the dead, resolving conflicts inside the emergency department and sometimes providing first aid to the wounded and injured, in addition to the specter of dismissal from duty
Choice and test
This relatively new profession in our Moroccan society, which was created for security reasons, was not chosen by young people of their own free will, but was imposed on them by social conditions and forced them to choose it as a profession for the daily confrontation "security", escaping from the looks and questions of the questioners and the persistent, so how long will this group remain deprived of their rights and degraded in dignity?
