Pilgrims to the Sacred House of God arrived on Monday in Mina to spend the day of Tarwiyah, signaling the start of the Hajj rituals, amidst a vast operational and service system that the Saudi authorities have announced their complete readiness to implement during this year's season.
Mina, located east of Mecca, is the largest seasonal tent city in the world, as the developed tent project extends over an area of approximately 2.5 million square meters, while its absorption capacity exceeds 2.6 million pilgrims, according to official data. This year, the site witnessed the implementation of a number of development projects that focused on improving the spatial environment, increasing shaded areas, expanding rest areas, and improving the flow of pedestrian traffic, in addition to expanding the developed housing projects near the Jamarat facility.
