HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
The old slaughterhouse area in Hay Mohammadi witnessed, this evening, a state of great congestion and chaos due to the massive influx of citizens wishing to purchase Eid sheep, after the closure of a number of shops and the appearance of a noticeable shortage in supply, which created unprecedented pressure in the area and mobilized various security services belonging to the Ain Sebaa region.
In this context, the security authorities intervened firmly to restore order and contain the state of overcrowding that the alleys and passages surrounding the sheep selling market had experienced, where the head of the judicial police, the head of the urban authority, and the head of the Darb Moulay Cherif district supervised the management of the situation on the ground, along with various elements of the national security who were deployed on the scene to organize the movement of citizens, facilitate movement and maintain the safety of all. The security elements worked to disperse random gatherings and organize the process of accessing points of sale, while imposing intensive field monitoring to avoid any unrest or exploitation of the situation, especially in light of the large increase in the prices of sacrifices during the last hours.
