HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Elbaz
In recent years, Moroccan consulates have witnessed a remarkable transformation in working methods and the quality of services provided to Moroccan citizens residing abroad, within the framework of a vision aimed at modernizing the administration and bringing it closer to users. This trend has been reflected in a range of practical measures that have contributed to improving citizens' experience and facilitating their access to consular services.
One of the most prominent manifestations of this development is the adoption of digitization in a number of administrative procedures, the development of appointment booking systems, and the improvement of communication and reception mechanisms, which has helped reduce waiting periods and simplify procedures. Many consulates have also become more open to the concerns of the diaspora, through enhanced direct communication and listening to various observations and suggestions. Although any public facility may face challenges and constraints related to the increase in demand or the complexity of some files, the general indicators reflect a positive dynamic and a real will to continue reform and development. The Moroccan diaspora abroad is receiving increasing attention, which is translated through the continuous pursuit of upgrading services and improving administrative performance. Evaluating consular work should be based on a comprehensive view that takes into account the volume of transformations that this sector has witnessed, and the efforts made to provide more effective and transparent services. Thus, Moroccan consulates continue to consolidate their role as a bridge for communication and service to citizens, within the framework of a promising modernization path that meets the aspirations of the Moroccan diaspora around the world.
