HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Fatima Zahra Al-Mansouri, President of the National Council of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), affirmed that the joining of Fouzi Laajaj to the party constitutes a "strong boost," given the competence and experience he has accumulated at both the sporting and professional levels, stressing that his joining the party's ranks is not related to displacing any of its leaders or members or "taking anyone's place."
Al-Mansouri said, during her hosting yesterday evening, Wednesday, by the Al-Faqih Al-Tittwani Foundation, that Laajaj represents one of the national competences that have chosen to join the Authenticity and Modernity Party, considering that his presence within the party would contribute to enriching political discussion and party initiative.
She explained that talking about the possibility of Laajaj assuming the position of Secretary-General of the party is premature, highlighting that the election of the Secretary-General is subject to clear conditions and regulations, at a time when the party's ordinary conference is still about two years away.
Al-Mansouri added that the party has not yet received any request from the National Council to hold an extraordinary conference, making talk of leadership change at the current stage mere speculation not based on an established organizational path.
The same speaker confirmed that Laajaj contributed to working on the party's electoral program, considering that his governmental experience demonstrated his possession, in addition to technical competence, of a political dimension and social sense.
