Last Thursday night, elements of the 10th security district were able to arrest a person in the old Mahamid neighborhood in the city of Marrakech, on suspicion of his involvement in vandalizing and smashing a number of cars parked in the street.
According to the newspaper's sources, the arrest operation came in response to complaints and information regarding cars parked in the area being subjected to acts of vandalism. The security services immediately began their investigations, which led to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
The same information indicates that this incident is not the first of its kind in the old Mahamid neighborhood, as similar operations targeting parked cars have been recorded repeatedly, causing resentment among a number of vehicle owners and residents of the area.
The suspect has been subjected to the legal procedures in place, pending the completion of the investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, to uncover the circumstances and details of these acts and determine responsibilities.
