The sea waters on Saturday, September 5th, washed ashore the body of a young man on Sidi Wassay beach in the province of Ait Baha, an incident that alerted local authorities, Royal Gendarmerie elements, and civil defense services.
According to the available information, the body was recovered by the specialized services. The identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding his death have not yet been clarified.
Preliminary data suggests that the body may belong to an irregular migrant, or to one of the individuals who were on a boat that may have capsized at sea, although this has not been officially confirmed up to this point.
The body was transferred to the morgue, pending the completion of legal procedures and the necessary forensic examination to determine the identity and cause of death. Meanwhile, the specialized services have opened an investigation under the supervision of the Public Prosecution to determine the circumstances of the incident.
