HIBAPRESS – Abdel Latif Berka
Field presence seems to be emerging as one of the most prominent aspects of political activity, in light of the increasing direct meetings between political actors and the population.
In this context, the name of the economic actor and activist in the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), Hamid El Massi, who is the elder brother of the "Tractor" candidate Hanane El Massi in the southern Taroudant constituency, stands out. He has accumulated a remarkable presence in a number of local communities recently, benefiting from an approach based primarily on direct communication and listening to the concerns of citizens.
El Massi, over the past few weeks, the most recent being last Friday, had an appointment for a communication meeting with the residents of three villages in the Ahel Raml municipality, at the invitation of the local residents.
The meeting was not limited to political discussion, but rather provided an opportunity to raise a number of issues related to the daily lives of the residents, foremost among them drinking water, breaking isolation, rehabilitating road networks, and improving social services.
Observers attribute some of El Massi's growing presence to his simple, popular communication style and his keenness to listen to citizens in various gatherings he attends, as well as his participation in a number of "Ramy" seasons organized by villages and local communities in the Houara region. This presence, along with his support for local initiatives of a social and developmental nature, has contributed to consolidating the image of a politician and businessman close to the population, according to the impressions reflected in field meetings.
El Massi does not hide, during these meetings, his focus on the necessity of moving from diagnosing problems to advocating for solutions, considering that local development requires competent individuals capable of carrying the demands of the regions to the decision-making circles.
From this perspective, it appears that the direct communication strategy gives the Authenticity and Modernity Party an additional boost in some areas of southern Taroudant, especially in light of the increasing importance of field presence and direct interaction with voters in the period leading up to the elections.
