In an atmosphere of faith filled with reverence and glorification, thousands of worshippers in the city of Jerrada performed the Eid al-Adha prayer this morning, Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the 6th of November square prayer ground, in the presence of Mr. Abd al-Salam al-Hattash, the governor of Jerrada province, accompanied by the official delegation which included the head of the local scientific council, heads of security and external services, local authorities, in addition to a number of elected officials, civilian and military figures.
The prayer ground witnessed, since the early hours of the morning, the arrival of large numbers of citizens from various neighborhoods of the city, men, women, youth and children, to perform the Eid prayer in an atmosphere of tranquility and reassurance, during which the voices of glorification and praise rose in a spiritual scene that reflects the Moroccans' adherence to their religious values and authentic traditions. The Eid prayer ceremonies began with glorification and remembrance according to the Moroccan traditions derived from the Maliki school of thought, before the worshipers performed the two rak'ahs of Eid, after which they listened to the Eid sermon in which the preacher discussed the religious and social implications of this blessed occasion, and what it symbolizes of the meanings of solidarity, brotherhood, kinship and solidarity among members of society. The preacher also concluded his sermon with a good prayer for the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, that God protect him and grant him good health and wellness, and that he be pleased with the Crown Prince, Prince Moulay Hassan, and support him with His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the Sharifian royal family, and that God perpetuate the blessing of security and stability on Morocco. After the end of the prayer, the Eid sacrifice was slaughtered at the 6th of November square prayer ground, following the Sunnah of our master Abraham, peace be upon him, and the Sunnah of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in an atmosphere marked by spirituality and supplication, as the governor of the province and the accompanying delegation exchanged greetings and congratulations with the citizens, in a scene that embodied the values of love and solidarity that characterize this blessed religious occasion.
