Wydad Athletic Club announced on Sunday the end of its association with Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, after an agreement was reached between the two parties to mutually terminate their contract.
The Red Club explained in a farewell message published on this occasion that Ziyech's experience with the team did not extend as much as the club's components and fans had aspired to. However, wearing the Wydad jersey will remain a special milestone in his career and in the team's memory.
Wydad conveyed words of appreciation to its former player, affirming that Ziyech will remain part of the club's family, and his presence within the team's components will remain linked to a special phase, despite the short period he spent within the Red Castle.
The club considered that the value of players is not only measured by the length of the period they spend within the team, but also by the impact they leave and the memories they create with the fans.
Wydad concluded its message by thanking Hakim Ziyech for the period he represented the club, wishing him success and prosperity in his future career, both on and off the field.
