HIBAPRESS – Chefchaouen
The city of Chefchaouen is hosting cultural days dedicated to valuing local cuisine and highlighting its connection to the Mediterranean diet, to which the city is considered one of the Moroccan communities associated with, within the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The event includes a number of activities, among them the organization of a market inspired by the region's traditional markets, an exhibition on the social values associated with the Mediterranean diet, as well as workshops and meetings that combine discussion and tasting of local dishes, with the participation of local stakeholders and experts.
This initiative falls within the framework of highlighting Chefchaouen's food heritage and its associated inherited recipes, products, and practices, while seeking to employ this heritage in supporting cultural and sustainable tourism and enhancing the valorization of local products.
