HIBAPRESS – Mohamed Zerriouh
The city of El Aroui in the Nador province was shaken a short while ago on Tuesday by a tragic and heartbreaking incident, which resulted in the death of a young man in the prime of his life, who was working in the field of recreational games at the city's ecological park. This tragedy occurred concurrently with the significant rainfall the region witnessed, casting a shadow of deep shock over the city's atmosphere.
Initial data gathered from the scene indicates that the death was caused by the victim suffering a fatal electric shock, suspected to be linked to an electrical short circuit on one of the park's equipment or poles. The same sources mention the possibility of exposed and bare electrical wires, hypotheses that remain pending official investigations.
Upon being notified of the incident, local authorities, security services, and civil defense elements mobilized their efforts for urgent intervention. The scene of the incident was inspected, and a judicial investigation was opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecution to determine the precise circumstances and contributing factors, and to identify potential responsibilities behind this painful accident.
This incident has left the visitors of the park and the acquaintances of the deceased young man in a state of profound grief and overwhelming shock. This shock has also reignited the heated debate about the necessity of tightening safety measures and conducting regular maintenance of equipment and electrical wires in public spaces, to avoid such disasters, especially during rainy periods.
Under these tragic circumstances, this information awaits the final report from the competent authorities to confirm the true causes of death.
